How do I take it?
Ketamine can be administered in a few different methods. Sublingual lozenges, intramuscular injection, intranasal spray, and intravenous infusions. There are a variety of different reasons that one may utilize one method over another.
I work with the sublingual lozenges that dissolve in the mouth and are absorbed by the mucosa (lining) of the mouth and with intramuscular injections (similar to a flu vaccine) and have a more rapid onset of effect. These routes create a less medical/clinically feeling than the intravenous infusions and are often less costly. In addition, the medicine is absorbed at a high rate in both of these methods.
